QUINTESSENTIAL PUMPKIN PATCHES TO VISIT IN NEW ENGLAND | New England The Coastal Confidence

WILSON FARM – LEXINGTON, MA

Not only is Wilson Farm’s the most photogenic place to pick a pumpkin, but it’s also one of the longest-standing patches here in New England – with operation starting in 1884. Whether you’re a tourist or local, Wilson Farm offers everything you’d ever want a farmstand to have during the fall season. With fresh cider donuts, caramel apples, or apple cider you’ll certainly get a taste of fall in every bite and sip. And Wilson Farm doesn’t stop there – they sell a large variety of meats and are home to a cheese shop stocked with 200 varieties of locally made, domestic, and imported cheeses. Plus, they have an award-winning bakery to boot!

THE PICKIN’ PATCH – AVON, CT

The Pickin’ Patch is the epitome of the quintessential New England pumpkin patch. With a historic barn and fields of pumpkins, this small farmstand is one of my favorites! Oh, and did I mention they sell the best apple fritters. The Pickin’ Patch is the one I visit the most! Check out my past visit here.

SAM MAZZA’S – COLCHESTER, VT

If you’re looking to get lost in a corn maze and take home a bright new orange pumpkin for carving – look no further than Sam Mazza’s. This farm market doesn’t just offer fresh vegetables, they also sell baked goods, garden supplies, holiday decor, wine, houseplants, and local Vermont eats! Plus, they have an on-site greenhouse.

HOGAN’S CIDER MILL – BURLINGTON, CT

Hogan’s Cider Mill is a historic cider mill with plenty of pumpkins to pick from! Actually, the images from this post came from my most recent visit to this cider mill, so they still have plenty of pumpkins to pick from along with apples, and flights of hard cider to taste test!

BOOTHBY’S ORCHARD & WINERY –  LIVERMORE, ME

Boothby’s Orchard & Winery offers pick-your-own apples and apple wine tastings! Visit for a free wagon ride on weekends or call ahead to make an appointment on weekdays. Boothby’s has all of your fall decor needs including with mums, pumpkins, corn stalks, and hay bales! So whether you’re looking for front stoop flair or to bring fall hues indoors Boothby’s is a one-stop-shop.

SUNNYCREST FARM – LONDONDERRY, NH

This family-owned apple farm and farmer’s market has all things autumn! They offer local fresh fruits and veggies, honey, maple syrup, and homemade apple donuts and breads. Sunnycrest Farm is the perfect place to bring your family, a date, or friends! Visitors can harvest their very own crops in their pick-your-own fields, apple orchard, and pumpkin patch.
