Crepe Ruffle-Trimmed Dress c/o •Velvet Point-Toe Flats c/o •Holiday Merino Wool Cardigan
With work, family, and friends functions ranging from formal to casual, having a dress in your closet that’s versatile for all holiday occasions is essential!
This season a time I tend to overcommit. With multiple events and time to be spent with loved ones – the last thing I want to do is take an unplanned trip to the mall. That’s why I hunt for the perfect dress early, so I’m covered from work to play for the holiday!
The new year will mark four years since taking my blog full-time. In that short period, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting readers as well as the opportunity to work with teams of brands, creatives, and public relations agencies.
For the longest time, I was an office of one. I didn’t have to concern myself with holiday office parties. But, as our operations grew so did our opportunities for events – especially around the holidays! That’s why I keep this crepe ruffled trimmed dress steamed and ready to rock in my closet.
This dress (make sure to size up) has made it out to three-holiday functions already this season. From a charity gala in late November to being all gussied up for a holiday office party in Hartford this dress is the definition of versatile! It has a modest silhouette that’s appropriate for any holiday get together. Plus, it keeps you warm for those caroling outings!
To style a dress like this, I recommend dressing it up or down depending on your event. For my holiday office party in Hartford, CT I dressed up with these Velvet Pointed-Toe Flats and this gold stoned headband. For a more casual holiday party, I’d pair these Velvet Pointed-Toe Flats with this holiday merino wool cardigan. I’ve worn this cardigan several times (like here). This cardigan is an often complimented piece that’s fun and holiday ready!
I hope this post helped prepare you for any holiday parties on your agenda.
Before you go, let us take a moment to appreciate this restaurant’s stunning entrance decor. The new restaurant called The Charles opens in spring 2020. It’s a historic New England home that’s been renovated into something so beautiful. A place that’s certainly worth checking out!
