Lately, I’ve been embracing silk scarfs! Whether I’m wearing it to add a pop of color to my outfit or tie back my hair back, I always keep a silk scarf closeby. When it comes to pricey designer scarves, Gucci, Hermes, or Burberry silk scarfs are dream-worthy.
Spending $500 on a scarf doesn’t suit my current lifestyle, so I brainstormed a few ways to embrace the trend without breaking the bank. After searching, I scored some gorgeous silk scarfs for just under $50!
1. The Necktie // Start by folding the scarf in half to make a triangle. Continue to fold your scarf until it is in a long thin line. Next, wrap the scarf around your neck and tie the ends together in a bow or knot under your chin. This look is perfect for work or play!
2.. The Chocker // Start by folding your scarf in half. Continue to fold until it is in a line. Next, wrap the scarf around your neck and tie the ends together in a double-knot. Move the double-knot to the back of your neck. Adjust until you get your perfect chocker look.
3. The Ponytail // I default to the ponytail scarf every time I hop off a boat with wind-blown summer hair. Start by folding the scarf in half to make a triangle, then continue to fold your scarf until it is in a long thin line. Next, wrap the scarf around your ponytail holder and tie into a bow. For extra hold, pop a few bobby pins in the underside of your pony.
4. The Headband // This look is best done with a bigger scarf. All you have to do is throw your hair up in a bun and fold your scarf in half then continue to fold until it is in a line. Once folded to the proper length, wrap the scarf around your head and knot it in the back. Then simply untie your hair from the bun and let it drape over your scarf, This is one of my favorite vacation go-to hair looks!
5. The Handbag // This is one of my favorite ways to keep a silk scarf on hand! Since wearing a silk scarf around my neck isn’t always practical, having the scarf tied to my bag keeps it at arms reach for a sudden hair emergency.
