Matt and I always put our holiday decorations up the week of Thanksgiving. Traditionally, we’ve purchased our Christmas Tree from a local farm after turkey day. But for 2021, we decided to buy an artificial tree – so we could enjoy it longer – and for years to come!

Once we had our new faux tree in its place, Matt and I decided to head to Christmas Tree Shops to stock up on all things holiday decor – like wrapping materials, ribbons, gift boxes, and of course anything to spruce up our tree and mantel.

When decking the halls for the holidays I lean towards a more traditional home feel. The nutcrackers, candy canes, tartan plaids, reindeer, and gingerbread men just sing to me. So, you can only imagine how delighted I was when I saw Christmas Tree Shops’ holiday decor!

With wooden nutcrackers for the mantel and felt reindeer ornaments – I was in struck with the holiday spirit! For ornaments, Christmas Tree Shops had everything from silver and gold traditional bobbles to pink and purple sequined balls. Whether your tree has a theme or not, you’ll find any extra sparkle you need on a budget.

We stocked up on extra string lights, ornament wire hangers, vintage bobble garland, a new tree topper. Plus, I found the cutest tartan tree skirt!

Christmas Tree Shops had so many tree skirts to pick from. But, I was ecstatic when I found one that matched the tartan ribbon to wrap around our tree. I love using wired ribbon as decor for the trees and our garland! It’s so easy to make ribbons and bows with too!

While decorating the tree is fun, my favorite spot in the home to decorate is my fireplace mantel. So, when I saw the section of nutcrackers Christmas Tree Shops had available, I couldn’t help but add a few to my cart. I grabbed four unique nutcrackers at about $15.00 each, which is an amazing deal.

As you can see from the few photos of m trip below, my local Christmas Tree Shops was just packed to the brim with holiday decor items – there’s truly something for everyone – and great gifts too!

I’d love to know in the comments: Do you decorate your tree with a new yearly theme, traditional ornaments you collect, or just a mix-match of holiday spirit?!
