So after living with Matt for about seven months, you can say he’s turned me into a dessert connoisseur. I never use to be that into dessert, I’m much more of a salt over sweet gal, but Matt has officially brought me to the dark side.

On Friday I put on this gingham midi dress and we found ourselves wandering into random dessert places, all over Dallas, while nothing comes close to Extraordinary Desserts in San Diego, I will say Texas knows how to make a mean pie. & I guess it’s now key lime pie season, which I didn’t know was even a thing, but after seeing many flyers about the return of key lime, I was on a mission.

Once Matt got home from work, last Friday, I dragged him out to Emporium Pies in McKinney TX, to get our pies on. & I’ll say it was darn good.

I had my first ever key lime pie, and honestly, it was a little too lime for me, but the overall taste was heavenly. I’m much more of a berry pie gal, so I can’t wait till the raspberries and peach pies arrive, yummmm.

Going pie tasting was 100% worth the experience, and doesn’t pie tasting on a Friday night just sound perfect. Besides the key lime pie we also tasted the chocolate moose with pretzel crust pie and all I can say is, it was as good as it sounds.

Meanwhile, let me remind you, we are supposed to be on a ‘spring break’ diet, as we leave for Aruba on Sunday, but how can you resist PIE.

Anyway, while out and about, Matt and I tried our first Instagram live.

It was interesting to say the least, but sooooo much fun. We are thinking about making it a weekly Friday ritual! What do you guys think about that and what topics would you like us to focus on! Let us know below and if you like pie make sure to visit TCC tomorrow, as I’ll be sharing my favorite pie shops in Dallas!

Happy Monday, xx Aubrey.
