While Matt and I hunker down and prepare for another 30 days of social distancing, we’re trying to make the most of this time by putting a few personal touches on our house to make it feel more like our home. We’ve officially lived in our New England fixer-upper for almost a year and yet we have not one painting on a wall, at least two rooms with absolutely nothing in them and a few light fixtures yet to be hung. So to keep our bodies moving on the weekends and our minds thinking, we’re tackling a room a week and I’ve gone ahead and pulled a few pieces I admire and would one day love to add to my home.

Le Creuset Signature Braiser |

This pan has always been on my wish list and very rarely goes on sale, so I was shocked when I saw it on sale and in my favorite color artichoke. While I’m not in the position to purchase this item for myself, I do have four weddings this year and may or may not have snagged this as a bridal shower gift for one of them!

Colonial Lamp Post |

Matt and I still have a few outside projects left, like fixing our very old lamp post. We want it to match the feel and style of our colonial house which this does perfectly.

Maison Storage Bath Caddy |

I’ve always admired this bath caddy and with a lot of time being spent at home, I’ve taken more baths this last week than I have all year. Personally. I love this bath cady in antique brass but it comes in an array of finishes.

Sailboat Bookends |

I adore bookends, whether you use them on a bookshelf together or split them up and use them as plain shelving decor or doorstoppers around your home. They bring a level of coziness to your home. All and all, I find most of my antique bookends on eBay!

Wythe Windsor Bench |

One Kings Lane is one of my favorite stores to shop when it comes to furnishing the home and today they’re offering 20% off their site! This bench is a very colonial but also coastal piece that would look good in any type of New England home.

Cambridge Chair |

My dream is to update our living room by moving our sectional to the basement, adding a leather couch and two of these ultra-cozy Cambridge chairs, facing the fireplace. I could just see myself cuddling up into one of these chairs at the end of a long day, and the good news is Serena & Lily is currently offering 20% off select goods with code – ATHOME.

Manchester Demilune Console |

This piece is currently 20% off this piece is gorgeous and would look great by our front door – as a place to drop our keys or at the end of our long hallway upstairs. Pieces like this bring character into the home while being functional.

7 Decorative Vases |

When I get asked, how to add character to the home I always say vases! Decorative vases are great not only to stage the home but also to add color. My home has a lot of green and brown walls so adding white vases with colored flowers real or artificial adds a sense of charm and livelihood to a dark room.
