Hello Ladies,

I hope you are ready to meet my fabulous Manhattan college gal.

Hayley is going to debrief with you guys about all things New York, campus life in The City & fall fashion (of course)!

+ So get ready for some NYC Fashion with Miss Hayley

Greetings from New York!

About 2500 miles away from San Diego stands the greatest city in the world- in my opinionNew York City. New York is the city of lights, love, and life rolled all up into one. As a New York college student and a devout Manhattan enthusiast, I guess it is no surprise that I would say that!NYC_homes

When it comes to weather conditions, New York and San Diego are distinctly different, particularly during this time of year. Right now in New York, the coldest temperature I’ve experienced has been 46 degrees, while the highest was 57. Unfortunately, my summer t-shirts and shorts have been packed away for weeks now. While my friend in San Diego hasn’t been able to break out her boots due to the warm weather conditions, I have practically been living in mine. Fordham_NYC

Girls around campus are fashioned in an array of Earthy sweaters: long, loose and everything in between. They are paired to perfection with the staple black leggings. The outfit is laced together perfectly with auburn and copper colored boots. This has become the quintessential collegiate girl’s uniform, which I am definitely not complaining about. My favorite boots are by Bandolino, and similar ones to my own can be found { here } on DSW’s website. While my all time favorite place for fall tops or sweaters is Anthropologie { which you can check out || here }. Scarves are starting to appear around some necks as well, which I believe to be pushing the upcoming season a little too fast. I’m perfectly fine not dealing with the December to February snowstorms yet. Thank you very much.

An upside to the change of season and weather getting cooler is being able to travel to wonderful indoor spots throughout the city. About a month ago, my roommates and I decided to brave the waiting line for the highly anticipated and highly publicized replica of Central Perk, the famous Friends coffee shop. We rode a few subway lines to Soho, figured out how to get to the shop, and ended up stopping and shopping the entire way there, never making it to Central Perk. Well, at least we tried (insert sarcastic girl emoji with her open-palm hand facing the sky). Night_Out_in_NYC

New York is a great place to be in the fall, especially as a college student. Leaves changing all around you to beautiful bright reds, oranges, and yellows. Giving all students the opportunity to receive many likes on Instagram with their highly filtered fall foliage photos. No judgment, since I am one of the worst offenders of fall photography. Being able to strut around campus in autumn attire, underneath fire colored trees and bright blue skies, makes me hope to hold onto this weather for a little bit longer. Although, when the first blanket of winter white snow covers the ground, you won’t hear any negative comments from me. Winter calls for skating in Bryant Park, hibernating while sipping hot chocolate in Serendipity, and viewing the glistening star and lights atop the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. Any time is a great time for fashion and fun in the city, and I for one can’t wait to experience it all over again.Fordham_Campus_Fashion

I would like to thank Aubrey for giving me the opportunity to write for The Coastal Confidence, it has been a real delight. Goodbye for now from the East Coast!

+ So what do you guys think? I am about ready to move to New York ASAP!
