Before you scroll through the entire post take a second to look at our Master Bathroom Demolition blog post and video. It will give you a feel for how our space looked and was utilized before the demolition.

Previously, Matt and I broke down everything you need to know about tiling with TileBar here, Since then, we’ve installed of our double vanity and cabinetry for storage. We also installed our faucets and Signature Hardware knobs.

Before I break down the design below – take a moment to subscribe to our Youtube channel!  We have a lot more reveal videos coming to our Youtube channel soon. So stay in the loop and subscribe!

double vanity

When designing a Master Ensuite, I knew Matt and I needed a large double vanity. Men are messy! Matt has beard clippings everywhere, more hair products than me, and don’t get me started on the toothpaste he leaves in the sink. But, even if Matt was the cleanest bathroom roommate – I’d still invest in a double vanity for resale value.

When I started designing our vanity I wanted a color that added character to the black and white space. Originally I wanted all black cabinetry but found it to be too masculine. When I sourced opinions, white was a big hit. But, I avoided white at all costs because of foundation fingerprints! With white and black off the table, I decided on harbor blue cabinets for a pop of color. I incorporated black back into the vanity design by adding a gorgeous piece of black honed stone from Hartford Granite and Marble Company

The crisp black countertop was ideal for us because it hides Matt’s beard clippings and goes perfectly with my skincare fridge – a gift Matt got me from Home Depot for my birthday!

Once the countertop was in we moved forward with the nitty-gritty detail of hardware.

Our Bathroom Hardware

Signature Hardware was so helpful during the hardware selection process. I first discovered the company when I was shopping for a kitchen sink. Once I found their site, I was hooked!

After purchasing my kitchen sink and faucet, I went straight for this gorgeous exposed pipe rainshower, Surprisingly, Matt was not on board with the exposed pipe. But, I couldn’t help but bring the antique detail into our home. What do you guys think of the oil rubbed bronze?

After purchasing several pieces from Signature Hardware, I connected with their team who gifted us with a few final pieces to pull our space together. Signature Hardware sent us pulls for our cabinetry and a pair of Roseanna Widespread Bathroom Faucets.

The bathroom faucets had been on my Master Bathroom Pinterest board for months and they’re even more beautiful in person! As a key design element, the bathroom faucets add to the antique feel in our newly renovated space.

 built-in Storage space

When I was brainstorming the layout of this space with our architect – who happens to be my cousin Michael – I knew we needed as much space as possible for Matt’s ample wardrobe.

Older New England homes mean teenie tiny closets! So, we not only enlarged the original closet but we added three floor-to-ceiling built-ins for maximum storage. This gives us space to store most of our day-to-day clothes, towels, and sheets. Keeping everything tucked away and out of site!

Personally, I’m a huge fan of keeping spaces organized. Now, with Matt’s clothes hanging in his walk-in closet and everyday clothes folded – we’ve created an aesthetically pleasing and functional storage space.

That’s a wrap!

I hope you enjoyed seeing the big reveal! For more on our home adventures make sure you subscribe to our Youtube channel and come back next week for another Our House Youtube and Blog update!

Thank you to both Signature Hardware and Tile Bar for providing our team with products to showcase within the space – all opinions are our own!
