One thing I love about New England is all the farms and family-run businesses. Whether it’s historic building turned into garden nurseries or apple orchards featuring an expansive selection of perennials and seasonal annuals, these experiences are uniquely New England. Which is why when the rain stopped, Matt and I started visiting such garden centers to create a game plan for purchasing and planting our yard in the future. Not to mention, we love having the opportunity to support local garden centers.

Below we’ve gathered a list of a few garden centers in Connecticut that might be worth a visit. Whether you’re going with the intent to buy or just browsing for ideas like Matt and I, getting outside and perusing your local garden centers is by far the easiest way to get in touch with your inner green thumb!
