Current Beach Reads | The Coastal Confidence by Aubrey Yandow

My favorite place (and the only place really) I tend to enjoy reading is by far when I’m lounging by a pool or beach. Something about the calming sound of water allows me to place my phone down and focus on escaping into a book.

A lot of what I do is mobile, so when I find my phone start to light up at home, I usually end up putting down my book and picking up my phone. So when I found out I was going to Aruba I was dead set on finishing up my winter reading list, one month too late but oh well. I posted a book from the list on my

I posted a book from the list on my Instagram stories and got a lot of book recommendation questions from you all, so I figured I’d just make it easy and break down the list here.

So here goes nothing:

Behind Closed Doors:

Genres: Thriller

My Thoughts: A typical beach read. The book was a little slow to start, but once it picks up it gets good. I finished it within three days, I would 100% say it is a thriller however it’s pretty easy to guess the ending.

Rate: OKAY

You Are a Badass:

Genres: Motivational

My Thoughts: Great book for anyone and everyone. I read it within three days but you could totally buy it and read a chapter a day. It’s easy for everyone to relate too and has some amazing quotes. If you are feeling undermotivated, uninspired or just blah; this book is for you.

Rate: YES

The One Thing:

Genres: Business

My Thoughts: If you are trying to start a business or feel stuck in trying to accomplish a business goal, this book is for you! It focuses on how to set yourself up for success and how to manage your time! Every business owner should read this one.

Rate: YES for business peeps

Everything, Everything:

Genres: Teen Love

My Thoughts: You guys this book is so cute and has a pretty good twist! To be honest, I purchased it after I saw the trailer for the movie, based on the book. The book was really well written, enjoyable and a great summer read.

Rate: Yes for gals that love the ‘what the teens are reading’ section at Barnes and Nobel

All the Light We Cannot See:

Genres: Historical Fiction

My Thoughts: To be 100% transparent I’m still reading this little number. I actually purchased the audiobook so I could listen to it at the beach. However, I forgot my headphones more than I would have liked. I’m hoping to finish this up by the end of the week, but if you like history, this one’s for you!

Rate: 4.5 (it’s a tad long for my liking)
