A few weekends back, I had the opportunity to visit Nantucket for the first time, on a PR trip with Popsugar. To say I was ecstatic is an understatement, as I’ve missed out on a few previous trips to Nantucket due to timing, travel, and moving. Yet, somehow the timing on this last moment trip worked out perfectly and in a blink of an eye, I was driving to Hyannis to catch the ferry with Robbin. If you don’t follow Robbin, you should be here, she’s a New England content creator and also co-founder of RPR, an influencer management and PR firm in Boston. In fact, she’s my manager and if that’s not reason enough to follow her, I don’t know what is.

Anyway, I digress, on the first day Robbin and I took the slow ferry over to Nantucket and prepped for what was about to be a whirlwind of a weekend. We arrived on Nantucket at 1 PM and went straight to the Popsugar Nantucket House to meet with the team, unbox some goodies (giveaways coming soon) and meet the other gals staying at the house. All and all there were five of us, influencers, each of us with different ‘niches’ all under one roof with the overall goal of creating the best content we could. I kept joking that it was kind of like the reality TV show Survivor, as we all had to break up into groups and create as much content as we could before reuniting for our events, in fact our first even was one of my favorites, it was a delicious lobster bake. After the lobster bake, we all huddled around the living room chatting, whilst editing content and prepping for a busy second day.

Before we knew it, we were already on day two, thankfully Robbin and I decided on waking up at 5:30 AM to shoot content at Sconset Beach and get a jumpstart to the day. The best part about PR trips are all the events and activities but with a jam-packed schedule comes limited time to shoot content. By waking up wicked early, Robbin and I were able to capture content on a different area of Nantucket while getting our work out of the way ahead of schedule.  By 9 AM, Robbin and I had already captured all of our needed content and set ourselve up to have a more freetime, aka vlog time for me, during this fully planned day.

Sidenote, I also had the opportunity to take over Philosophy’s Instagram Stories on this day and was very proud of myself when I said yes to this specific collaboration. I only bring this up, because IG takeovers were something I avoided in the past, out of fear. I really wasn’t keen on the idea of taking over an account because frankly, I was afraid the brand or, even worse their followers, wouldn’t like the content I was creating. I know that’s silly of me to think but Robbin really pushed me to accept this opportunity and looking back I’m so glad I did it. I had so much fun creating real-time content just for their IG Stories. I guess it goes to show you, an old dog can learn new tricks.

Now, I don’t want to make this post too long, because I vlogged the whole thing and I don’t want to give away every detail of the vlog. So make sure to check out the vlog above, and see the rest of my trip with PopSugar unfold. Oh and don’t forget to subscribe to our Youtube channel while you’re at it. Honestly, we put a lot of work into Youtube and would love to see some of your faces over on that platform.
